The Akanksha Girls' Scholarship Programme
In rural Rajasthan, 1 in 3 girls drops out of school before Class 8. Child marriage, household duties, and lack of safe toilets are the leading causes. The Akanksha Programme directly addresses all three — providing full scholarships, menstrual hygiene kits, cycle grants for long commutes, and dedicated girl-friendly toilet blocks.
Since 2021, we have supported 847 girls. This year's campaign funds 300 new scholarships at ₹12,000 each, covering tuition, books, and uniform costs for one full academic year.
